VICTROLA-TYPE PORTABLE PHONOGRAPH
SUITCASE STYLE
WORKING
THIS is a "suitcase" style portable phonograph, similar to a portable Victrola. I would guess that it dates to the 1930s, possibly the late '20s. The case has various scuffs and scratches, and damage on one corner (see photos), but is in overall good or better condition. The single spring motor works well, and the reproducer is in good condition and plays well. The tone arm is stiff, making it tend to stick; however this will probably clear up with some oil and use. There is not a manufacturer's mark or name anywhere. As far as I can tell, it is complete, having working motor, crank, and reproducer. It measures approximately 15 X 12 X 7 inches.  The record shown on it is not included.
Even though it is working, I sell all electrical and mechanical devices in "as-is" condition. This is because they can easily get out of adjustment or worse in shipping. You can return the item for a refund of your purchase price as long as it is in the same condition in which I shipped it. Furthermore, it comes with automatic insurance, so if there is damage, we are both covered.
