The listing is for  ONE  of these  strung Witch Ladders.
They are authentic and dry. The foot measures  4" to  5" long.
Toenails are intact.
Strung on twine and fitted with 4 1/2" of  two inch pieces of  Pin Cherry wood. ( Witch Wood)
In old lore , certain forest demons were thought to hide in old cherry trees and bring harm those who approached them.
And that  there is s a demon known as Kirnis who acts as the guardian of the cherry tree.
He is the Spirit of the Cherry Tree.  Kirnis accompanies all parts of the tree.
It was considered  a bane if cherry blossoms were brought into a house.
These are commonly used to hang over a doorway, altar or other space for protection.
They can be used in other ways to . "Hush" enemies.
Some complete the fetish  by inserting items ( feathers, pins, toothpicks, etc) in the twine
