World’s first truly balanced production car.
Look at your car. It's either front-heavy or rear-heavy. Either way, it's unbalanced. With a front-heavy car, it’s a struggle to take a comer. Turning a rear-heavy car, the lighter front end can respond too fast for good control, because the heavier rear wants to go straight.
So Alfa Romeo created a balanced car: half its weight in front, half in back. This major engineering advance places gearbox, clutch, flywheel and inboard brakes in a compact unit at the rear. (Note that the new Porsche 924 features a similar concept.) Result: Precise handling, easy steering, race-car road-holding... a more comfortable ride and, possibly for the first time, a sense of full control over your car.
